Our first Christmas

Gavin had a wonderful first Christmas. He got so many wonderful things. We began the festivities at Grandpa Joe's house on Christmas Eve. Gavin had a blast trying to open up his presents. You could have given him wrapping paper and he would have been happy. EVERYTHING went into his mouth. Grandma Sonya and Grandpa Dan came over on Christmas morning to open presents. We then headed to Aunt Terry's house for more food and more presents. We ended the day with a trip to Floresville to see Gabriel's family. By the time we got home Gavin was pooped. I love Christmas, but part of me is glad it only comes once a year. It is a lot harder going place to place when you have a little one. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.

Semper Fi!

For those of you don't know my husband was a Marine for 10 years. He loved serving his country and feels like what he learned will remain priceless. We have camouflage everything and when I found out I was pregnant Gabriel bought his future son his first camo hat. Here are my two Marines. Gotta love them!

Family Photo Session

On Sunday we had our first family photo session. My good friend Suzanne, who also happens to be a great photographer, came over to take our picture. The goal was to get a good one for our Christmas card. The weather was gorgeous. Here are a few of Gavin and a family one.

Santa Claus is coming to town!

We took baby Gavin to meet good ol' St. Nick for the very first time. He did awesome! He was all smiles with a little help from grandma and we got a great picture. I can't wait to see how he changes every year with each santa picture. We are so excited for Gavin's first Christmas. We have so much to celebrate and so many wonderful things to be thankful for. Happy Holidays!

Heartbreaker!

Gavin is getting bigger by the second and by the looks of him I can already tell he is going to be a heartbreaker. We started him on butternut squash this week and he absolutely loves it. I will upload a video of him chowing down soon. We also put up our Christmas tree up and I was hoping Gavin would be more into it, but the tree only kept his attention for a few minutes. I am sure that will change over the next few years.

Our Big Boy!

Gavin had his 4 month check up last week. He is weighing in at 19 pounds. He is in the 97th percentile for his age. He got four shots and took them like a champ. He is getting bigger by the day. We started him on cereal and he absolutely loves it. Pretty soon he will be eating beans and fideo just like his dad!

Pumpkin Patch

We took Gavin to a great pumpkin patch last week. The weather was gorgeous and I really wanted to buy a pumpkin to add some fall decor to our front porch. We took some great pictures and we found the perfect pumpkin for our house. Happy Fall!

Trick or Treat!

So Gavin survived his first halloween, even with Michael Meyers as his dad. We spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa Dan. We spent the evening cooking and giving out candy to the kids. Gavin was a bit cranky so he only wore his costume for a little while. As you can see from the picture Gabriel was Michael Meyers and I was Dorothy. We had a fabulous time and we are already planning next years costumes. Happy Haunting!

A day with the Trevino's

Our Sunday began with a great Mexican breakfast at my grandma Mira's house. Gavin had a blast with his grandpa and his great grandpa. It was so great to see the three of them together. Gavin is so lucky to have so many great grandparents around to see him grow. We ended the day with a BBQ at my uncle's house to celebrate my cousin's birthday. The kids had a blast, and when I say kids I mean Gabriel. The video says it all, boys will be boys.

He did it!

Baby Gavin has officially learned to roll over! I was completely shocked this week when I left him on his back on his activity gym turned around for a second and when I looked down at him he was on his belly. I have never felt more proud. I captured this life changing event on video and wanted to share it. Enjoy!

Where's my Harley?

So, last night I asked Gabriel to get Gavin ready for his bath. While I got the bath ready I expected him to get Gavin undressed, grab his towel, and bring him to me. After a while I was starting to wonder what was taking so long. For those of you who don't know my husband he is extremely into cars and harley's. He hopes to one day soon own his very own chopper. This is what was taking my son and husband so long...

Our First Blog

I have recently been sent a blog by my good friend Courtney. I am totally addicted to going on and seeing how these new moms are going through exactly what I am going through. After reading everyone else's non stop I decided to create my own. So here we go our first blog....
