Port Aransas

Our second annual family trip to the beach was a success! Gavin had a blast. We stayed at a great condo right on the beach and spent lots of time eating, drinking and soaking up the sun. My mom, step dad cousin and a few friends came along so Gavin had plenty of entertainment. I was so sad to come home. I am already trying to convince Gabriel that we need to take one more trip to the beach before summer is over.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to two of the most important men in my life!

Gabriel, you are truly a wonderful father. Your girls and Gavin are so incredibly lucky to have you in their lives. You love your kids like no other. When I see you talk to your girls your face lights up. When I see you play "trucks" with Gavin my face lights up. Our son is going to know what pure unconditional love is because of you. I can't wait to see you coach a little league team or take him for his first motorcycle ride. Thank you for being the best dad. We love you!

Dad, you have been my example of what unconditional love really is. You believed in me when I didn't really believe in myself and I could never put into words how much that means to me. When I saw you hold Gavin for the first time, my heart skipped a beat. You always put me first, even if it meant you doing without. You have a work ethic that I know Gavin will have one day because you will teach him. Gavin is the luckiest little boy to have you as his grandpa. Thank you for teaching, supporting, and loving me all these years. I love you!

Choo Choo Train

I am officially on summer break. Woohoo!!!!! I am still debating on whether or not I should put Gavin in a summer program two days a week. He loves to play with other kids his age and I feel like he will get totally bored at home everyday with just me. On the other hand, I love spending time with him and I want to savor these moments since he is growing up so fast. The jury is still out on this one.

We are getting ready for our second "family trip". We leave on Monday for Port Aransas. I am really excited for this trip. Gavin is at a fun age and I know he is going to LOVE the beach. He is such a water baby. We went to a friend's party the other day and Gavin went straight for the pool. He gets the water gene from his dad because his mama definitely doesn't have it. I wore a life jacket until I was twelve for crying out loud.

Gavin has an absolute obsession with trucks, buses, and trains. It started a couple of months ago and has become a full blown fascination. His favorite words are truck and bus. We go to church across from a train depot. Gavin always notices the big choo choo train so last Sunday we decided to take him over after our service. Please excuse the pics. I couldn't get him to stay still. He was way too busy trying to figure a way onto the train.

Happy Summer!
