2010, Here we Come!

Can you believe the year is already over? I sure can't. We had a wonderful holiday season. The holidays are my favorite time of the year and they became even more special when I married Gabriel and had Gavin. We spent lots of time with family and ate tons of food. My waistline is glad this only happens once a year. We had a low key new year's eve since Gavin was not feeling well. He has been fighting the sniffles over the last couple of weeks and some fever so we wanted to keep him home. We invited my mom and step dad over for dinner and were able to pop some fireworks on our street. Gavin stayed up until 11 and I barely made it past 12. Boy how times have changed! I am not big on new years resolutions, but I thought it might be fun to make a to do list for 2010. Ahem, I now present you with Lesley's To Do List for 2010:

1. Be a better mom. Don't get me wrong, I think I do a pretty good job, but I am always learning and sometimes I can't help but feel guilty when I lose my patience or fell overwhelmed with all the duties that come along with it.
2. Be a better wife. Again, I think I am pretty good, but I have to realize marriage is a "partnership" which means both sides need to make compromises. I am the first to admit that I can be a bit selfish when it comes to this, but I am definitely going to work on it.
3. Go on a husband and wife trip. I'm thinking vegas or mexico :)
4. Go on family trip #2
5. Give my two dogs more attention. Ever since Gavin got here they have been put on the back burner :(
6. Clean out our office, which has become our junk/storeroom.
7. Have a spa day with my mom.
8. Give Gavin the coolest 2nd birthday party ever!
9. Stick to one haircolor (which I have already failed at since I just got highlights).
10. Buy our first house.
11. Have a fantastic summer.
12. Make a turkey.
13. Have the coolest Halloween costume, which I have already started thinking about.
14. Go to my 2nd NKOTB concert.
15. Plan a girls trip with my best girlfriends. For this one, I am defintely thinking MEXICO.
16. Read lots of books.

Happy New Year!!!!
