I can't believe spring break is already coming to an end. The only positive thing to this is that the sooner spring break is over the sooner summer will be here. We really got the most of our Spring Break this year. Gavin still had school, but I chose to keep him home all week so we could spend some quality time together. It was totally worth it! I miss him so much during the week and I feel like we never get to really "bond" anymore. My baby is growing up way too fast. We started our spring break with the usual. We ran some errands on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday my dad took Gavin all day so he could play with his cousins. They had a blast. My dad was generous enough to book us a room at the Marriott that evening so that Gabriel and I could have a nice evening and celebrate his birthday. My mom kept Gavin overnight. Gabriel and I had a wonderful dinner at the Melting Pot. We had both never been and we had so much fun. It is a definitely an experience that everyone should try. After our dinner we had some green beer at a local bar and then headed back to our room. The next morning we had a nice breakfast and then headed to pick up Gavin. We took him on his first picnic and he had a blast. The weather here as been awesome this week. He played some soccer with his dad and we enjoyed a nice picnic lunch. That evening we met some friends for Gavin's first experience at Chuck E Cheese. On Friday we headed over to Dynamoze to meet the cousins again and Gavin had a blast. Dynamoze was perfect for his age. It had tons of hands on things that he could actually do. After all that playing we headed to Luling, TX for some delicious BBQ at the city market. Gavin fell asleep on the way, but was more than ready for some grub once we got there. All in all, this has been one awesome week. I am sad to see it end, but so excited for what the upcoming months have in store for us. We have so many wonderful things to look forward to: the arrival of a new cousin, Easter, FIESTA, the end of the school year, SUMMER, our second annual "family trip" to the beach, and many more wonderful things.
On a side note, we celebrated Ari's birthday a few weeks ago. I can't believe he is already one and expecting a new brother any day now. The weather wasn't ideal, but we still had a blast. Here are some of the pictures from that day. Happy Birthday Ari!
